daroo / deshoo だろう・でしょう


 

="Probably" Indicates conjecture.

Examples:

山田さんの秘書は中国人でしょう。

Tanaka-san no hisho wa Chuugokujin deshoo.

Mr. Tanaka’s secretary is probably Chinese.

 

パリの物価は高いでしょう。

Pari no bukka wa takai deshoo.

Prices in Paris are probably high.

 

A社の社長は来年帰国するだろう。

A-sha no shachoo wa rainen kikoku suru daroo.

The president of company A will likely return to his native country next year.

 

ジョンさんはテニスが上手でしょう。

Jon-san wa tenisu ga joozu deshoo.

Jon-san is probably good at tennis.
